BPS Statement on World Arthritis Day
12th Oct 2017
Pain remains the biggest problem for people with arthritis, despite the major advances in arthritis treatment that have been made in recent years. Intensive research is revealing why arthritis can be so painful, how to better use existing treatments to improve pain now, and is developing new treatments that will relieve the suffering of people with arthritis in the future. `Life without pain' is already now a realistic aspiration for some people with arthritis, and should be the expectation for most in the years to come.
